About me

In 1999 I transitioned from a corporate sales executive position to lead the international association for sales and marketing, Sales & Marketing Executives International, Inc. (SMEI), as president.

Over the past 25 years I’ve dedicated by career to raising the awareness of sales as a professional calling of high order. Within that mission, I’ve spoken for universities and corporations on leading edge sales and marketing topics. I’ve had the pleasure of training 1,000s of sales and marketing professionals around the world in classroom settings. 

I’ve applied new techniques to help me become more productive by adopting the latest in generative AI tools. I love to share those insights with others.

In 2020 my family and I expanded our event services company to include full service planning, production and support for virtual events. Since that time, Old Clayburn Event Services has provided live streaming and facilitated virtual memorial gatherings for 100’s of famlies and their friends as they pay tribute to a loved one who has passed.

You can find me at home in the boardroom, a classroom or auditorium. The message is clear in a story telling format with actionable concepts.

I’m available in-person almost anywhere in the world. The realities of today have made apparent the need for flexibility. I’ve learned to be available via video and have the latest technology in my studio as well as high speed, fibre optic Internet to be able to perform remotely when needed.
